Ang nanay ang ilaw ng tahanan,” this is what the Filipino culture has instilled in the minds of its people. The mother is the one that takes care of the family, the one who is nurturing and usually the more affectionate of the two parental figures.

The Inspiration

“Can the same be said if the mother is just a child that is still just navigating their life?”

A child that has still yet to live up to their full potential let alone even discover themselves. I do not think so. This is the concept of the poster. A light is expected to shine bright, illuminating the entire room. But a child who bears a child can only be a flashlight, whose brilliance is still narrow.

The inspiration for this is the above-mentioned quotation. This is meant for a Filipino audience and so that saying can only fit in this specific setting.

Purpose of the Advocacy

The purpose of this poster was to bring awareness to the chosen barangay the team was tasked to address a problem for. The leaders of that particular location mentioned that their biggest concern, currently, is teenage pregnancy, and so this was one of the publication materials created for the communication plan.

Execution

This was made in photoshop entirely

It was intended to be very simple and minimalistic as to draw attention to the main subject that represents the message of the team.
